Sr. Sales Manager - Access Controls

This is a management role within CG's Commercial Solutions organization leading a regionally focused group of business development sales professionals focused on selling CG Access Control solutions and related products. Reporting to the Director of Community sales, this role is expected to (i) provide cross-functional leadership on performance of account portfolio of the Chamberlain Group's Access Controls prospects, customers, and partners; discover and address customer needs; generate and develop new business opportunities across regional and national and accounts (ii) implement Chamberlain Group's Commercial Solutions sales tactics in partnership with their respective cross functional team members; Regularly review progress against account and partner plans and adjust where needed to achieve annual goals and (iii) Ensure teams' achievement of sales goals and targets; ensure teams' alignment and understanding of business plans and provide coaching to improve performance.

  • Lead a regionally focused group of business development sales professionals focused on selling Chamberlain Group Access Control solutions and related products
  • Support Chamberlain Group's Commercial Solutions sales tactics in partnership with their respective cross functional team members; Regularly review progress against account and partner plans and adjust where needed to achieve annual goals
  • Ensure teams' achievement of sales goals and targets; ensure teams' alignment and understanding of business plans and provide coaching to improve performance
  • Partner cross functionally in terms of targeting, marketing and new programs to increase the penetration of our products, focused on growing our Access Control offerings.
  • Develop and implement new business development plans that will drive new business acquisition, increase sales volumes and profit margins across the assigned region within company plans and guidelines
  • Improve sales performance of current product and service portfolio; collaborate with product management to assist with customized solutions and future product enhancements based on customer feedback
  • Identify sales penetration opportunities and optimize resource allocation in pursuing these opportunities; generate and follow-up on leads to fulfill the sales pipeline; determine best approach to close sales
  • Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external decision makers
  • Develop end-user sales plans and support leadership in setting performance goals
  • Collaborate across functions to optimize pipeline development and forecasting
  • Provide coaching on customer training at trade shows and events
  • Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members
  • Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company's policies
  • Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications
  • Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the Chamberlain Group mission, vision and values


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years in sales development and 1 year of people management experience
  • Proven track record leading a B2B solution focused sales team to overachieve goals and objectives
  • Experience selling solutions that mix hardware, software, and services
  • Experience targeting new markets, partners, and customers with new solution offerings.
  • Proven track record of sales talent identification, development, and retention
  • Strong public speaking skills
  • Ability to effectively drive both GTM strategic planning and execution with positive results
  • Able to travel up to 75% - domestically and internationally; valid driver's license
