This role is within Chamberlain Group's Engineering function. A successful incumbent is expected to (I) Work with business stakeholders to understand business needs and software development requests to elicit and document requirements as high-level use cases and (ii) Translate high level use cases into Epics and Stories for the software development teams to execute.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and facilitate requirements elicitation sessions with the business and development leads
  • Document initial requirements as high-level use cases
  • Breakdown use cases into Epics and Stories
  • Work with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to make Stories ready for planned releases
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams across the organization as required to document proposed integrated solutions that meet business requirements
  • Assist in identifying and communicating dependencies for development work
  • Provide process flows for functional requirements when needed
  • Adhere to the established best practices and processes of the Business Analyst team and Agile Practices within the organization
  • Schedule and facilitate Backlog Refinement Sessions for the Scrum Team
  • Responsible for complying with the security requirements set forth by the Information Security team and the established ISO 27001 Security Roles, Responsibilities, and Authorities Document found in the ISMS Document Library
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group's reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, computer Science or related field
  • 4+ years' experience in software engineering in lieu of degree.
  • 2+ years' experience in Information Technology, preferably applications development or configuration.
  • Able to travel up to 5% of the time domestically or internationally

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong reading comprehension skills
  • Ability to understand business objectives
  • Ability to self-organize work upon receiving direction from Manager or Product Owners
  • Strong time management skills
  • Experience leading stakeholder meetings
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Experience leading or participating in stakeholder presentations
  • Desire to seek out and complete trainings relevant to position or projects assigned


Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Experience with Jira
  • Experience with Confluence
  • Experience with flow chart tools
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of tools
